SHARON SCHINDLER

SHARON GRADUATED FROM NEW HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL IN 1962.

WHILE ATTENDING N.H.H.S. SHARON WAS INVOLVED IN MANY EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, TWO OF WHICH INCLUDED BEING A MEMBER OF GAL (GIRLS ATHLETIC LEAGUE) AND AN ACTIVE FOUR YEAR MEMBER OF THE GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM.  IT WAS SHARON’S JUNIOR YEAR (60-61) THAT THE NEW HAVEN GIRLS VARSITY ROCKETTES WON THE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP WITH AN UNDEFEATED SEASON.

SHARON WAS SECRETARY FOR THE NEW HAVEN COMMUNITY SCHOOLS FROM 1963-1968.  FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS SHE HAS BEEN EMPLOYED AS A PODIATRIST ASSISTANT/OFFICE MANAGER FOR THE RETIRED DR. ROBERT LEDERMAN AND IS PRESENTLY EMPLOYED BY DR. KEVAN KREITMAN.

DURING THE YEARS BETWEEN 1973-75 AND 1978-79 SHARON WAS THE GIRL’S JV BASKETBALL COACH FOR N.H.H.S..  IN THE LATE 1970’S, AS AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE ATHLETIC BOOSTERS KNOWN AS SOAP (SAVE OUR ATHLETIC PROGRAM), SHE HELPED RAISE FUNDS TO TOTALLY SUPPORT THE FALL ATHLETIC PROGRAMS AT N.H.H.S..

SHARON’S MOTHER, BROTHER SISTER-IN-LAW AND NEPHEW ARE ALSO N.H.H.S. GRADUATES AND HER NIECE IS PRESENTLY ATTENDING NEW HAVEN COMMUNITY SCHOOLS.

SHARON RESIDES IN CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP.
